FabLab (fabrication laboratory) is UCL University College’s creative and technical prototyping platform. The place is open for all students at the academy.

FabLab and its facilities were set up to inspire entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into new products and prototypes. The place is also a platform for learning and innovation; a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, to invent, to think on the edge of and outside the box without having any worries.

For students at UCL, FabLab is a place to inspire. This is done through the materials, facilities, machinery, available staff, and other users. Students can use all of this to realise their ideas by using machines that until recently was reserved for professionals; including 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC machines. FabLab actively and practically work with innovation through prototyping, product development, and idea generation.

FabLab has proven to be a good starting point for creating dialogue and building bridges between the academy’s many different programmes. Besides performing and participating in development projects, FabLab is experienced in making workshops, team building and training sessions focused on innovation, creativity, and prototyping.

If you have an idea in the making, you are therefore most welcome to visit FabLab at Seebladsgade 1 in Odense, and have a talk with the staff about how the place can help you on the road to making your idea reality.
