During the autumn Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management students from Lillebaelt Academy have cooperated with the tourist and business council of Northern Funen. The students have worked on suggestions for the future strategy work of the new organisation.

During the project the students visited the organisation and the organisation also visited the academy several times to discuss the analysis and the project suggestions.

The final projects were sent to the organisation who picked out the two best proposals - one Danish and one international group. The two groups were invited to present their findings and suggestions at a Board meeting in the end of November.

Both suggestions placed emphasis on taking advantage of the opportunities which is already at hand:

  • Strengthen the cooperation and marketing of locally produced food
  • Use of an overseen resource  - seeweed

The board was excited about all suggestions and especially the two invited groups who were awarded “Best in Class” by the Mayor of Northern Funen.
